The primary purpose of emergency lighting is to provide illumination for escape routes. It also serves to light up signs and other safety equipment. It's essential that emergency lighting systems adhere to the guidelines outlined in BS 5266.

Maintenance

Emergency lighting necessitates regular testing intervals. We will assess your needs and propose a service schedule tailored to your building requirements, whether it's an annual check or more frequent assessments as needed.

Emergency lighting can be categorised as either 'maintained,' where it remains on continuously, or 'non-maintained,' where it is typically off and only activates when regular lighting fails. The duration of operation for emergency lights varies, ranging from one to three hours, with the majority typically set to run for three hours. These lights also offer some utility during power outages beyond emergency situations.

Regardless of your existing emergency lighting setup, we offer maintenance plans that suit your specific requirements. All our work complies with British Standards - BS5266.

For our contract customers, we provide a 24/7, 365-day call-out service. All services are carried out by fully trained and competent professionals in accordance with relevant British Codes of Practice.
